English Literature Study Program of FoH Unud Holds Book Launch and Review to Commemorate the Retirement of one of Its Professor

English Literature Study Program of the Faculty of Humanities Udayana University (FoH Unud) held a Book Launch and Review event on Wednesday, April 24 2024 at the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium, FoH Unud. This activity was carried out to commemorate the retirement of one of the professors in the English Literature study program, namely Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Sedeng, M. Hum.


This activity was attended by the Dean of FoH Unud, Chair of the FoH Unud Senate, Vice Deans, Coordinator of the English Literature Study Program, professors and lecturers of the English Literature study program.


The activity began with a report from the book editor, Prof. I Nengah Sudipa, M.A, continued with the book launch which was marked by handing over the book by the editor to the Dean of FoH Unud, the Coordinator of the English Literature Study Program, and Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Sedeng, M. Hum. and Prof. Dr. Nengah Arnawa, M.Hum., who was the speaker in the book review activity.


In his speech, Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Sedeng, M.Hum., shared his experiences as a lecturer and professor at the English Literature Study Program FIB Unud.


Prof. Dr. I Wayan Mulyawan, S.S., M.Hum., Coordinator of the English Literature Study Program FoH Unud, in his speech expressed his gratitude to Prof. Sedeng because during Prof. Sedeng has always been a father figure for himself and the lecturers in the English Literature study program.


“Prof. Sedeng has always been a father figure for us, always providing us with views on life so that we are always motivated to become better people," said Prof. Mulyawan.


In line with the Coordinator of the English Literature Study Program, the Dean of FoH Unud, I Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D. also expressed his gratitude to Prof. Sedeng for all his contributions to both the study program and the faculty.


The activity continued with a book review entitled "Balinese Intransitive Clause" by Prof. Dr. Nengah Arnawa, M.Hum., which took place very well and was moderated by a Master of Linguistics student, Putu Wahyu Widiatmika, S.S. (nm)
