Unud Professor Provides Nationality - Diversity Training to 2000 IISMA 2024 Awardees

To maximize preparations for the departure of the 2024 IISMA awardees, Central IISMA held a Nationality - Diversity and Arts - Culture briefing series via the zoom platform on Saturday (04/05) attended by all 2024 IISMA awardees. This event began with remarks from Hilda Cahyani, Ph.D. . as IISMA Partnership Manager and Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Suning Kusumawardani, S.T., M.T. as Director of Learning and Student Affairs.

 

In the Nationality – Diversity session, one of the professors at the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, Prof. I Nyoman Darma Putra, M.Litt., Ph.D. was the speaker of the session. In this session Prof. Darma Putra explained what the values ​​of nationality and diversity are, how important these values ​​are, what the implementation of these values ​​is in Indonesia, and what IISMA awardees can do in practicing and implementing the values ​​of nationality and diversity during their time. undertake studies abroad.

 

In the Arts - Culture session, Dr. Restu Gunawan, M.Hum as Director of Cultural Development and Utilization, Ministry of Education and Culture and Prof. Dr. Robert Sibarani, MS. as Professor at the University of North Sumatra explained about soft cultural diplomacy, the ability and effects of using soft cultural diplomacy by a country, 10 objects of advancing Indonesian culture, culture that has been registered in UNESCO's tangible/intangible cultural heritage, development, protection and utilization of culture in Indonesia and efforts to change the paradigm regarding Indonesian culture as well as the impact of cultural promotion abroad and arts promotion activities that can be carried out by IISMA awardees, and cultural ethics which include communication, dress and behavior ethics.

 

Prof. Darma Putra really appreciates the trust given by the central IISMA who have asked him to be one of the speakers at the Pre-Departure activity. He felt the joy of being able to share with the 2000 IISMA participating students from various universities in Indonesia who will study at well-known universities in the world. In the pre-departure training event on 'National Values ​​and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika', participants were brilliantly active in dialogue with inspiring questions.
