Examining Gender Representation in Elementary School Text Books, Mahasaraswati University Lecturer Awarded a Doctoral Degree at Faculty of Humanities Unud

The Doctoral Study Program in Linguistics, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University held an open doctoral promotion session, in the Sukarno Room, Faculty of Humanities,, Denpasar, I Gusti Ayu Vina Widiadnya Putri, S.S., M.Hum had finished her dissertation with a team of supervisors, promoter Prof.Dr.Drs. I Wayan Simpen, M.Hum., Co-promoter I Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Suparwa, M.Hum., Co-Promoter II Prof. Dr. Ni Luh Nyoman Seri Malini, S.S., M.Hum. and the examining team of her doctoral promotion are Prof. Dr. I Nengah Sudipa, M.A., Dr. Anak Agung Putu Putra, M.Hum., Prof. Dr. Made Sri Satyawati, S.S. M. Hum and Dr. Ketut Widya Purnawati, S.S, M.Hum.


I Gusti Ayu Vina Widiadnya Putri, S.S., M.Hum. who is a lecturer at Mahasaraswati University, took the dissertation title Reinterpretation of Gender in Grade 2 Elementary School Book Texts. The session began with an opening by the MC, followed by a welcoming session by the chairman of the session, Prof. Drs. Ketut Artawa, M.A. , Ph.D after that continued with a presentation session. The trial lasted for 2 hours with a 30 minute question and answer session. After the presentation and question and answer session were finished, the chairman, examiners, promoters and co-promoters held a closed judicial meeting for approximately 30 minutes, to decide on the graduation of the doctoral candidate.


Graduation of I Gusti Ayu Vina Widiadnya Putri, S.S., M.Hum. in the open doctoral promotion this time, making her the 205th doctoral graduate at Faculty of Humanities Udayana University and the 226th in the doctoral program in Linguistics at Faculty of Humanities Udayana University . (Ben)
