Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University Received a Visit from SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Ciputat Jakarta as Part of Goes to Campus Program


Faculty of Humanities (FoH), Udayana University on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, received a visit from SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Ciputat Jakarta. The visit was carried out as part of the Goes to Campus program, which is an annual agenda of SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Ciputat Jakarta. A total of 135 grade XI students and 15 teachers were received by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, represented by the Vice Dean I for Academic and Planning, Dr. I Gede Oeinada, S.S., M.Hum., Coordinator of the FoH Unud Information Management and Cooperation Unit, Nissa Puspitaning Adni, SS, M.Hum., and PIC of the Old Javanese Literature Study Program Cooperation, Dewa Ayu Carma Miradayanti, S.S., M.Hum., in the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra, Denpasar Campus.


The purpose of this visit activity is to obtain an explanation about the profile of the faculty and study program, discussion and Q&A, and to observe the campus facilities and operational systems. The Introduction to Faculty and Study Program material was presented by Dewa Ayu Carma Miradayanti, S.S., M.Hum., which was then continued with a discussion and Q&A session. The event was interactive. The students and teachers actively asked questions related to the faculty and study program. The questions asked were included the facilities, campus infrastructure, scholarships, and also job prospects for graduates of the Faculty of Humanities. Some students also showed a lot interest in the Old Javanese Literature, Japanese Literature and Archaeology study programs, especially focusing on what activities and knowledge would be obtained if they joined these study programs, what needs to be prepared and what paths can be taken.


This visit is a beneficial event for both parties. For FoH side, the results of this activity could be taken as part of FoH’s efforts to promote and introduce prospective students and at the same time the information provided could be delivered directly with more accuracy and on target. Meanwhile, for the school itself, this goes to campus program could certainly provide the insight and help students to determine the choice to continue to the undergraduate level in the majors they are interested in.
