FoH’s Students Won a Library Promotion Competition

Students from the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University (FoH Unud) won 1st place in Instagram Reels Library Promotion competition with the theme "Let’s come to Udayana’s Library!" which was organized by UPT Udayana University Library. Those students are Dinda Diaz Paramitha from the English Literature study program and I Putu Gede Wahyu Hermawan from the Old Javanese Literature study program.

The awarding ceremony was carried out by the UPT Library on Friday, April 5 2024 at the Library Hall, 3^rd Floor.

The two students won the competition after receiving the highest score from the jury for their library promotion Instagram Reels (videos). The assessment aspects of the competition consist of complete reviews, ideas, interesting concepts, storytelling as well as video and audio quality, and what is no less important for the jury to consider when giving an assessment is how the Instagram Reels video can inspire the academic community, both students, lecturers and staff, to come and use the library facilities.

Apart from Dinda Diaz and Wahyu Hermawan, two other FIB students, namely Ni Putu Laksmi Mutiara Prameswari and I Gusti Ayu Sugiartini Mahardika from the Master of Cultural Studies study program, managed to win 2nd place in the competition.

Head of Udayana University Library, Dr. Ida Ayu Laksmita Sari stated that the aim of holding this competition is so that the academic community becomes more familiar with Udayana’s Library which have begun to experience significant development since the end of 2021, starting from the facilities provided to the e-journals and e-books subscribed to, so that the academic community can do coursework and research comfortably.

Dr. Laksmita Sari also expressed her gratitude to the 32 teams participating in the competition, because apart from helping promote libraries, they also helped to increase the value of library accreditation and study program accreditation. It is hoped that in the future the participants will not stop promoting the library when this competition ends but will continue to invite other friends to carry out activities in the library, and can also provide this information later to their juniors and new students.
