The Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University Held the Ceremony for 160th Period’s Prospective Graduates

The Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University (FIB Unud) held a ceremony for the 160th Period of Graduate Candidates on Thursday, (27/06/2024) at the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium, Prof. Building. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra, FIB Unud.

 


The Graduation Ceremony was attended by the Chair of the Senate, Dean, Vice Deans, Secretary of the Senate, Coordinators of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Study Programs, Unit Chairs, Administrative Coordinators, Chair of IKAYANA, Dharma Wanita, and Sub Coordinators of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, prospective graduates and their parents/guardians.

 

 

In the Academic Affairs report delivered by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Dr. I Gede Oeinada, S.S., M.Hum, said that on this occasion FIB Unud released 56 prospective graduates from undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral study programs within FIB Unud.

 

 

At the release of prospective graduates this time, the best graduate from the doctoral program was I Gusti Ayu Vina Widiadnya Putri with a GPA of 3.82 with honors, the best graduate of the master's program was Putu Wahyu Widiatmika, GPA 4 with honors and the best graduate of the program S1 was achieved by I Kadek Arditya Kurniawan, GPA 3.98 with honors.

 

 

The Dean of FIB Unud, I Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D, in his speech mentioned how Steve Jobs only had a GPA of 2.65 but was able to pursue his success despite going through many failures along the way. He also mentioned a quote from the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Nadiem Makarim when opening the Freedom to Learn program, that students are given the opportunity to learn things outside the university which will be useful for the student's future. Because the world of work not only requires knowledge while studying at university, but also personal knowledge outside campus. He hopes that prospective graduates can face the world of work with the knowledge they have learned during their studies. (JJ & Ryu)
