Dissertation Guidelines
Om Swastiastu,
Praise be to Ida Sang Hyang Widi Wasa/God Almighty, for by His grace and mercy, the Dissertation Writing Guidelines for the Faculty of Arts, Udayana University, have been published. The publication of these guidelines is essential as a manual for the academic community (students, lecturers, and educational staff) regarding the mechanisms of dissertation preparation, the formatting of research proposals, and the final dissertation structure. This book is expected to serve as a mutually agreed-upon standard, without intending to limit the scientific creativity or the unique characteristics of the eight undergraduate study programs within the Faculty of Arts.
The completion of this dissertation is a requirement for obtaining an undergraduate degree at Udayana University. To produce competent and high-quality graduates in accordance with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI), the quality of the dissertations produced by students is of paramount importance. This is also aligned with the efforts to support Udayana University’s vision of becoming a research university. The refinement of these guidelines is part of a continuous improvement strategy implemented to realize the vision, mission, and goals of the Faculty of Arts.
Finally, we express our gratitude and appreciation to all parties who have worked hard to bring these guidelines to fruition. We hope this manual proves beneficial for everyone in our collective effort to improve the quality of academically accountable dissertations. Constructive suggestions are highly welcomed for the continued refinement of these guidelines.
