Faculty OF Humanities Udayana University

Bachelor of
Indonesian Literature

"Welcome to the Bachelor Of Indonesian Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University. As an educational institution that has achieved accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), we are fully committed to producing graduates who are not only academically excellent but also possess a strong identity and cultural integrity.

Our Vision and Mission Our vision is to become a center of excellence in the fields of Indonesian linguistics and literature that is independent and culture-oriented. To achieve this, we provide education that is adaptive to technological developments, carry out innovative research of international standards, and actively engage in community service to provide real solutions for the nation.

Graduate Profile and Competencies Our students are prepared to become competent and career-ready Bachelors of Arts (S.S.). Graduates of Indonesian Literature at Udayana are directed to have profiles as:

  1. Linguistic and Literary Experts: Deeply mastering the science of language, literature, and Indonesian manuscript studies (philology).
  2. Researchers and Educators: Capable of conducting research and teaching the Indonesian language, both for native speakers and foreign learners.
  3. Creative Writers and Media Practitioners: Skilled in creative writing, journalism, editing, and possessing proficient public speaking skills.

Comprehensive Curriculum We implement a curriculum based on the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework with a total of 146 credits. The academic journey begins with the fundamentals of linguistics and literature, progressing to in-depth theories such as psycholinguistics, sociology of literature, and textual criticism. We also fully support the "Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka" (Emancipated Learning) program through course conversions for internships in media institutions or corporations.

Supportive Facilities and Faculty The learning process is supported by expert educators, the majority of whom hold Doctoral degrees and are Professors. With an ideal faculty-to-student ratio, every student receives intensive academic guidance. Facilities such as the phonetics laboratory and access to various collections of ancient manuscripts and literature are available to support student research and creativity.

Join Us New student admissions are conducted officially through national selection paths as well as independent paths. We invite you to become part of an academic community that is logical, critical, and culturally insightful to advance Indonesian language and literature on the world stage.
