Welcome to the Master of Cultural Studies Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University. As a center of excellence in postgraduate education, our program has achieved an accreditation rank from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
Our Vision and Mission Our vision is to become an excellent, independent, and culture-oriented unit of educational and learning activities. We are committed to developing an education system based on the critical social science paradigm, conducting research based on signifying practices through critical analysis, and fostering multicultural awareness in society.
Graduate Profile and Competencies Each of our graduates will earn the degree of Master of Science (M.Si.). Students are prepared to become competent experts as:
- Researchers
and Educators: Experts in the socio-cultural field capable of
producing innovative works through multidisciplinary research.
- Consultants
and Communicators: Professionals capable of providing solutions for
socio-cultural issues in society.
- Socio-Cultural
Entrepreneurs: Capable of managing cultural potential creatively and
independently.
- Cultural
Ambassadors and Officers: Serving as representatives of cultural
values in both government and non-government institutions.
Curriculum and Learning Experience Students undergo a minimum workload of 44 credits designed to be completed in 4 semesters. The curriculum includes core courses such as Critical Philosophy of Science, Cultural Studies Methodology, Poststructural Theory, and contemporary issues such as Globalization, Gender, and Multimedia. The program combines course-based and research-based learning methods.
Facilities and Academic Environment The learning process is supported by 34 permanent lecturers, consisting of Professors and Senior Lecturers with Doctoral qualifications. Available facilities are highly adequate, including representative classrooms, a library with thousands of reference collections, language laboratories, and wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) throughout the campus area.
