Welcome to the Archeology Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University. As a center of excellence in the study of cultural heritage, our program has achieved an accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT)
Our Vision and Mission Our vision is to establish the Archeology Study Program as a visionary and integrated scientific institution rooted in culture within local, national, and global contexts. We are committed to providing education that is adaptive to development needs, conducting innovative archaeological research, and implementing the results through community service.
Graduate Profile and Competencies Graduates of Archeology at Udayana will earn a Bachelor of Arts (S.S.) degree. Students are prepared to become competent professionals as:
- Archaeological
Researchers: Experts in scientifically examining basic concepts and
archaeological data.
- Cultural
Heritage Conservationists: Skilled in guarding and preserving the
nation's cultural heritage.
- Museum
Technical Staff: Possessing museum management and collection
processing skills.
- Archaeological
Entrepreneurs (Archaeopreneurship): Capable of identifying
opportunities and utilizing cultural heritage as a source of independent
creative inspiration.
Curriculum and Learning Experience We implement a curriculum with a minimum workload of 144 credits designed to be completed in 8 semesters. Students will undertake various essential courses, ranging from Introduction to Archeology, Indonesian Prehistory, Islamic and Classical Archeology, to technical courses such as Ceramology, Epigraphy, and Underwater (Maritime) Archeology. Learning methods include face-to-face lectures, laboratory practicums, field excavations, and Field Work Practice (PKL).
Facilities and Academic Environment The teaching and learning process is supported by high-quality educators, including Professors and Doctors who graduated from both domestic and international universities. Available facilities include representative classrooms, skill-supporting laboratories, and a library with up-to-date literature. We also establish internship collaborations with various government and private institutions to enrich students' practical experience.
