Welcome to the Cultural Anthropology Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University. As a scientific institution committed to the development of social sciences, our study program has achieved an accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
Our Vision and Mission Our vision is to become an excellent, independent, and culture-oriented scientific institution with insights and an identity rooted in local, national, and global cultures. We are on a mission to provide education, research, and community service relevant to the development of science and technology, and to produce character-driven students with professionalism based on national cultural values.
Graduate Profile and Competencies Our graduates will earn a Bachelor of Social Sciences (S.Sos) degree. Students are prepared to have professional competencies as:
- Anthropologists:
Mastering the objective application of anthropological science, theory,
and methodology.
- Socio-Cultural
Researchers: Capable of planning and conducting research as well as
providing solutions for the preservation of cultural values.
- Development
Consultants: Capable of providing cultural considerations for both
physical and social development projects.
- Professional
Staff: Skilled in collaborating with various agencies such as health,
population, and social services to solve societal issues.
Curriculum and Learning Experience The study program implements a curriculum based on IQF (KKNI) and MBKM standards with a total workload of 144 credits. Students will undertake essential courses such as Theory of Social Change, Tourism Anthropology, and in-depth field research methods. In addition to classroom learning, students also participate in Field Courses, Community Service (KKN), and the writing of a Thesis as graduation requirements.
Facilities and Academic Support The learning process is supported by high-quality educators with Master's and Doctoral qualifications, including Professors. We provide representative classrooms, reading rooms with the latest literature, laboratories to support practical skills, and various scholarship schemes from both government and private sectors.
