Admission of new students
2.1. Admission Requirements
The admission process for prospective students of the Faculty of Humanities at Udayana University (Unud) is implemented based on the regulations stipulated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology No. 6 of 2020 and the Rector's Regulation of Unud (Rector's Regulation No. 2 of 2021). These regulations must be implemented by all state universities in Indonesia. There are three admission schemes for undergraduate programs at Unud:
SNBP (National Selection Based on Merit),
SNBT (National Selection Based on Test), and
Local/Independent Selection.
The quota for national merit-based students in each study program at the Faculty of Humanities is 30-35%; the national test-based selection is 40%; and the local selection capacity is 25-30%. Unud also seeks and recruits prospective students with high academic potential who are economically disadvantaged, as well as students from frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged (3T) regions, aiming for at least 20% of the total admitted students spread across all study programs.
National selection is managed by a central institution established by the Ministry, while local selection is managed independently by Unud. Prospective students can register online via the official website:
The local selection process at Unud refers to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Local Student Admission (Rector's Decree No. 445/UN41/HK/2021), which includes details on capacity, test material development, registration procedures, and graduation requirements.
2.2 Counseling for Prospective Students
To increase interest among prospective students, the Faculty of Humanities routinely promotes its study programs through the "Three Pillars of Higher Education": Education, Research, and Community Service. Activities are uploaded to the official Unud website and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), as well as the official pages of the faculty and its study programs.
Information dissemination is also conducted through participation in educational exhibitions.
