Rector of Udayana University Officially handed over the Decrees and Appoints Study Program Coordinators
On Friday, January 9, 2026 the Rector of Udayana University held a ceremony for the handover of the Rector’s Decrees concerning the dismissal and appointment of Study Program Coordinators within the Udayana University environment. The event took place at the Widya Sabha Auditorium, Jimbaran Campus.
The event was attended by the Board of Supervisors of Udayana University, the Head and Secretary of the Academic Senate, the Head of the Internal Audit Unit, Vice Rectors, Deans and the Director of Postgraduate Programs, Heads of Institutes, Bureau Chiefs, Heads of Technical Service Units and the Information Systems and Digitalization Unit (USDI), as well as the Study Program Coordinators who received the Rector’s Decrees.
In his remarks, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., stated that study programs occupy a central role in the implementation of higher education. He emphasized that the appointment of Study Program Coordinators is not merely an administrative assignment, but a strategic academic leadership mandate to maintain and enhance the quality of education, research, and community service.
The Rector explained that Study Program Coordinators play a vital role in coordinating academic management, ensuring the implementation of relevant and adaptive curricula, and guaranteeing the application of quality assurance systems at the study program level. He also highlighted the increasingly complex challenges facing higher education, including digital transformation, internationalization, workforce demands, and sustainability issues, which require study programs to be more adaptive, collaborative, and innovative.
Furthermore, the Rector encouraged the Study Program Coordinators to strengthen a culture of quality and transparent, accountable academic governance; to develop curricula that are responsive to current developments and aligned with Udayana University’s areas of excellence; to enhance the productivity of lecturers and students in research and community service; and to foster an inclusive, collaborative, and ethical academic environment.
On this occasion, the Rector of Udayana University officially presented the Decrees on the Appointment of Study Program Coordinators to a number of faculty members at Faculty of Humanities and other faculties at Udayana University, as of Dr. I Gusti Ayu Agung Mas Triadnyani, S.S., M.Hum. as the Coordinator of Program Study Bachelor of Indonesian Literature, Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Suarka, M. Hum. as the Coordinator of Program Study Bachelor of Old Javanese Literature Drs. I Ketut Ngurah Sulibra, M. Hum. as the Coordinator of Program Study Bachelor of Balinese Literature, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Parthama, S.S., M. Hum. as the Coordinator of Program Study Bachelor of English Literature, Dr. Silvia Damayanti, S.S., M. Hum. as the Coordinator of Program Study Bachelor of Japanese Literature, Dr. Nanang Sutrisno, S.Ag., M.Si. as the Coordinator of Program Study Bachelor of Cultural Anthropology, Prof. Dr. Phil. I Ketut Ardhana, M.A. as the Coordinator of Program Study Bachelor of History, Zuraidah, S.S., M.Si. as the Coordinator of Program Study Bachelor of Archaeology, Prof. Dr. Made Sri Satyawati, S.S., M.Hum. as the Coordinator of Program Study Master of Linguistics, Prof. Dr. I Made Netra, S.S., M.Hum. as the Coordinator of Program Study Doctoral Linguistics, Dr. Drs. I Wayan Suardiana, M.Hum. as the Coordinator of Program Study Master of Cultural Studies, Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Darma Putra, M.Litt. as the Coordinator of Program Study Doctoral of Cultural Studies, and others.
The appointment of the Study Program Coordinators was stipulated through a Rector’s Decree following a thorough selection process and careful consideration of academic competence, integrity, and performance track record.
In the closing, the Rector of Udayana University congratulated all newly appointed Study Program Coordinators. He expressed his hope that the trust bestowed upon them would be carried out with full responsibility, dedication, and a strong spirit of service for the development of Udayana University and for meaningful contributions to the country and Republic of Indonesia.
