Denpasar, May 25, 2026 – The Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University conducted the First Quarter Performance Evaluation. The event, held at the Dr. Ir. Soekarno Meeting Room, Poerbatjaraka Building, 4th Floor, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University was implemented in a hybrid format via Zoom Meeting. It was attended by the deanery, all coordinators of the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs studies, all unit coordinators under the supervision of Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University the head of administration along with the sub-coordinators, and the performance achievement team leaders from each study program at Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University.
Opening the event, Prof. I Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., as the Dean of Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, emphasized that the main objective of this activity was to focus thoroughly on evaluating the achievement of the faculty's Key Performance Indicators in the first quarter, considering that these achievements would directly impact the determination of remuneration. Furthermore, the Dean instructed the Study Program Coordinators to thoroughly understand the updates to the target components, specifically the classification of mandatory and optional IKUs, so that all parties could formulate strategic Follow-Up Plans (RTL) focusing on fulfilling the performance contract established by the Rector.
Continuing the agenda, Dr. I Gede Oeinada, S.S., M. Hum., as the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs, presented a number of proud achievements in the 2026 First Quarter Performance Evaluation, focusing on the achievements and action plans of 11 Key Performance Indicators. One of the main highlights to be highly commended is the faculty's academic achievement, where 75% of the study programs have successfully achieved the national "Excellent" accreditation, and 25% of them have also managed to secure international accreditation from FIBAA. In addition, FIB's firm commitment to establishing clean governance and a bureaucracy with integrity has also yielded positive results; Faculty of Humanities has been declared to pass the evaluation by the Working Unit Assessment Team (TPSK) and the Internal Assessment Team for the Integrity Zone (ZI) proposal towards a Corruption-Free Zone and is now preparing to advance to the National Assessment Team stage.
Furthermore, this evaluation was also focused on designing continuous action plans for several indicators that are still in the data collection phase at the beginning of this year. The leadership and the entire faculty ranks are focusing on continuously boosting the on-time graduation targets (Education Efficiency Rate/AEE), implementing tracer studies for alumnus tracking, encouraging student achievements outside the campus, and accelerating the institution's involvement in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda and international research publications. Through well-mapped monitoring of the ideal lecturer-to-student ratio and the gradual implementation of business process digitalization, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University is optimistic about optimizing and exceeding all Performance Agreement targets for the remainder of 2026.
Moving on to the discussion session, the meeting highlighted several strategies and challenges, one of which was the fulfillment of Key Performance Indicator 1 regarding on-time student graduation. Responding to the large number of students currently working on their final thesis, particularly in the English Literature Study Program, which targets around 140 graduating students in this period, the Dean granted a special discretion. Thesis defense examinations are now permitted to be held outside of Fridays to circumvent the high number of public holidays, with the condition that the scheduling does not clash with the lecturers' teaching obligations. Regarding Key Performance Indicator 2 (Tracer Study), the faculty instructed the management team to proactively assist alumni in reporting their total income comprehensively and reaffirmed that employment non-linear to the field of study is still recognized as a faculty achievement.
In addition, optimizing the achievement of Key Performance Indicator 5 in the field of cooperation and research down streaming was also a core focus. There was a proposal to restructure financial management concerning the involvement of FIB lecturers as expert personnel in external institutions, where honorariums that were previously often transferred to personal accounts will be coordinated with the university rectorate to be channeled through the institution's cooperation Virtual Account (VA). The faculty leadership also encouraged the acceleration of completing cooperation agreements (MoU) to immediately yield tangible outputs in the form of scientific articles and academic books. Through synergy between units, monitoring the ideal lecturer-to-student ratio, and precise strategic mapping, the Faculty of Humanities is optimistic about exceeding all Performance Agreement targets in 2026.
