Celebrate Mahasaba's 14th Anniversary, Bachelor of Balinese Literature held competitions
A lively atmosphere surrounded the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra, on Thursday, October 23, 2025. This atmosphere was part of the celebration of Mahasaba's anniversary, or the association of students majoring in Balinese Literature. This event served as an important moment for Balinese Literature students to demonstrate their creativity and love for the Balinese language, literature, and culture. In addition to being an anniversary celebration, this event also strengthened the commitment of the Balinese Literature Program at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Udayana, to support the preservation and development of local culture in the modern era.
This year's anniversary event carries the theme “Balinese Literature Witning Bhuana Dipa”. The event features a series of competitions and the opening ceremony of the 14th Anniversary of Mahasaba, the Bachelor of Balinese Literature Student Association. The event was opened by the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University. The 14th Anniversary of Mahasaba was held from October 23-24, 2025, with the theme “Balinese Literature Witning Bhuana Dipa”. Various competitions were held during the Mahasaba anniversary celebration, such as National Dharma Wacana Competition, National Indonesian Speech Competition, High School or Vocational School Level Lontar Writing Competition in Bali, Regional Level Digital Content Competition in Bali and Regional Level Magaguritan Competition in Bali.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. I Gede Oeinada, S.S., M.Hum, who also opened the event accompanied by the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Balinese Literature, Drs. Ketut Ngurah Sulibra, M.Hum. The welcome speech, theme of the event, and series of competitions clearly showed the commitment of the Bachelor of Balinese Literature at Udayana University to always be at the forefront of the preservation and development of the Balinese language, script, and literature. The enthusiasm of the participants in this series of activities also showed how the young generation of Bali is committed to preserving their culture amid digital disruption, which can be both a threat and an opportunity. “Happy Anniversary to the Udayana University Balinese Literature Student Association.
