Discussing the Technical Implementation of Cooperation, The Bachelor of Balinese Literature Study Program FIB Unud Attends a Meeting with the Team from PT GoTo Gojek

On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, a meeting was held between the Bachelor of Balinese Literature Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, and the Team from PT GoTo Gojek. This meeting was a technical meeting, after several initial meetings had been held previously, related to the initiation of cooperation and the preparation of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). In this occasion, the meeting had a core agenda, which was discussing the technical implementation of cooperation as the beginning of the implementation of this cooperation, with the Bachelor of Balinese Literature Study Program, FIB Unud.

The discussion began with a brief explanation from the GoTo Gojek Team, about the Balinese-language Sahabat AI program which was the main project in this collaboration. Sahabat AI (the project initiated by PT GoTo Gojek) is considered as an important project since it is in line with the FIB Unud itself that is starting its steps towards digital humanities. Furthermore, the development of AI startups in Indonesia also begins to grow rapidly in the last two years. This time is such a great opportunity and timing to develop digital humanities that combine technology with linguistic and cultural data.

Nonetheless, the involvement of the Bachelor of Balinese Literature Study Program, FIB Unud is significant because this collaboration, the Sahabat AI project, requires a repository of Balinese language and culture, which can later be linked to the Independent Internship Program (MBKM) or Internship in the form of a Course Project. The initiation of this collaboration is not only limited to this project, but also other forms such as public lecture sessions by GoTo AI experts to students and lecturers to enrich their insight into the use of AI, which is currently almost inseparable from everyday life.

Presenting at the meeting were the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Balinese Literature Study Program, FIB Unud, Drs. I Ketut Ngurah Sulibra, M.Hum., who was accompanied by a representative of the lecturer from the Bachelor of Balinese Literature Study Program, I Made Agus Atseriyawan Hadi Sutresna, S.S., M.Hum., and the Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit, FIB Unud, Nissa Puspitaning Adni, S.S., M.Hum., on which this time attended as a representative of the Dean and Vice Dean of FIB Unud. From the PT GoTo Gojek Team, there are four personnels who are the core team for the realization of the cooperation, which is expected to begin at the beginning of the next semester.
