Echoes of the Yellow Campus: Nurturing Tradition, Responding to the Earth at the Peak Celebration of the 68th Anniversary and 45th Family Day of FIB UNUD

The commemoration of the 45th Alumni Association (Badan Kekeluargaan / BK) and the 68th Anniversary commemoration series (HUT) of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University (FIB UNUD) took place with great fanfare on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Carrying the theme “Echoes of the Yellow Campus: Nurturing Tradition, Responding to the Earth” (Gema Kampus Kuning: Merawat Tradisi, Merespons Bumi) this peak event was attended by the university rectorate and leadership, the faculty deanery, and the entire academic community of FIB UNUD. The series of events began at 07:00 WITA with a solemn morning assembly at the Nias Campus Parking Lot, followed by the Main Event at the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium. The main ceremony opened grandly with a performance of the Saraswati Dance, followed by the national anthem Indonesia Raya, the FIB Hymn, an opening prayer, and the chanting of Kakawin, which heightened the sacred cultural atmosphere.

In her report, the Head of the 45th BK FIB UNUD Committee, Eirenne Pridari Sinsya Dewi, S.S., M.Ed., stated that this event served as the climax of a series of Higher Education Tri-Dharma activities conducted since March 2026, including international conferences, community service initiatives, and seminars. The program continued with a presentation by the Dean of FIB UNUD, who briefly highlighted key faculty performance achievements, ranging from the establishment of the Integrity Zone (ZI) and the strengthening of digital governance to securing international accreditation, while also offering farewell remarks during this final celebration of their term in office. Next, the Rector of Udayana University delivered welcoming remarks, offering congratulations and expressing hope that FIB will continue to realize its vision and mission. He invited everyone to reflect on and carry forward the "three legacy words" shared by the Dean, emphasizing that education is the passport and key to unlocking the future for upcoming generations. The Rector also expressed his deep appreciation for the Dean's leadership, stressing that these accomplishments were the result of hard work and collaboration across the entire FIB academic community.

As a gesture of gratitude, university and faculty leaders conducted a traditional tumpeng (rice cone) cutting ceremony, followed by a reception. This moment of celebration was also a source of pride, featuring the presentation of award certificates to outstanding students (mawapres) from various study programs who have brought honor to FIB UNUD across provincial, national, and international competitions.

The most poignant and meaningful segment of the event was the presentation of tokens of appreciation as the highest mark of respect for long-standing dedication to FIB UNUD. On this special occasion, the faculty formally invited and honored retired lecturers and staff members who had completed their years of service. The main event officially concluded with a shared commitment to togetherness in achieving an excellent, independent, and culturally grounded FIB UNUD.
