English Literature Study Program FIB Unud Conducted Journalism Training for Students and Lecturers

The English Literature Study Program FIB Unud carried out Journalism Training for students and lecturers on Friday, April 26 2024 which took place in the Soekarno Room, Poerbatjaraka Building, Faculty of Humanities. This activity carries the theme "Basics of Journalistic Writing for Lecturers and Students" with guest speaker from Balipost senior journalist and lecturers at the Agribusiness Study Program Faculty of Agriculture Unud, Dr. I Made Bachelor, SP., M.Sc. This training was attended by Vice Dean III, Dr. Ni Ketut Puji Astiti Laksmi, S.S., M.Si., Coordinator of the English Literature Study Program, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Mulyawan, S.S., M.Hum. , 10 lecturers and 90 students

 

This activity aims to provide education to lecturers and students regarding an initial understanding of journalistic writing. In her opening, the Vice Dean III said that journalism is a form of artistic skill because a journalist is required to write with precision in a short time. Prof. Dr. I Wayan Mulyawan, S.S., M.Hum. as the Coordinator of the English Literature Study Program, stated how important this activity was because of the connection between the material and journalistic media which plays an important role in disseminating information on campus activities.

 

Dr. I Made Bachelor, SP., M.Sc. in his material conveys the urgency of understanding the art of journalism and techniques for obtaining fast and accurate data. "Journalism is not only useful for writing, the results of this writing have great benefits for life." (Sun&Dif)
