Faculty of Humanities Udayana University held 2025 Year-End Reflection, Evaluate Achievements and Prepares Future Strategic Directions
On December 23, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities Udayana University held the 2025 Year-End Reflection activity at the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium. The event served as a forum for evaluating performance throughout the year as well as a moment of consolidation and alignment of vision among the academic community in preparing for the coming year.
The event opened with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya, followed by a prayer and remarks from the Chairman and Secretary of the Faculty Senate of the Faculty of Humanities. The senate leader expressed appreciation for the faculty’s various achievements throughout 2025, while emphasizing the importance of reflection as a means of maintaining academic continuity and fostering togetherness among all elements of the faculty. It was also conveyed that in the coming months, a leadership regeneration process of the senate will take place, requiring readiness and active participation from the entire academic community, including younger lecturers.
Through the year-end reflection report, the faculty leadership presented a range of strategic programs that have been implemented and are currently underway, including strengthening the Integrity Zone, enhancing national and international cooperation, developing international programs without agents, and initiating efforts to open new study programs. The Faculty of Cultural Sciences has also developed two flagship international programs: the Udayana Balinese Cultural Immersion Program in the form of a short course, and the Udayana International Program on Multidisciplinary Studies, designed as a one-semester program. In addition, the faculty is preparing to open a French Language and Culture Study Program, which is currently at the stage of collecting survey data before being resubmitted at the university level. Throughout 2025, the Faculty of Humanities recorded significant achievements in accreditation and academic quality. Three undergraduate study programs such as: Bachelor of Indonesian Literature, Bachelor of English Literature, and Bachelor of Japanese Literature successfully obtained international accreditation from FIBAA. Meanwhile, several other study programs underwent BAN-PT on-site assessments with commendable results, including the Bachelor of Japanese Literature, which achieved an Excellent accreditation status through the ISK pathway. These achievements demonstrate the faculty’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing educational quality.
In the field of academic development, the Faculty of Humanities also showed serious attention to Digital Humanities. Throughout 2025, the faculty organized FIB DigiTalk, featuring ten speakers from universities both domestically and internationally. Going forward, the faculty plans to develop a dedicated Digital Humanities webpage as a platform to strengthen research and technology-based digital collaboration. Based on the evaluation of the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) for the fourth quarter of 2025, the Faculty of Humanities achieved 41.7 percent of the indicators, while the remaining 58.3 percent still require improvement. The achieved indicators include study program cooperation, international accreditation, SAKIP performance rating, development of the Integrity Zone, and non-tuition PNBP revenue. Indicators that have not yet been achieved include alumni tracer studies, student participation in Emancipated Learning Programs and achievements, lecturer involvement in off-campus Tridharma activities, lecturer certification, research outputs, implementation of the case method, and budget absorption.
During the reflection session, the senate leadership invited all members of the academic community to use the evaluation results as a foundation for continuous improvement. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of strengthening research culture, scientific publications, and the active involvement of lecturers and educational staff in supporting the faculty’s progress. The 2025 Year-End Reflection activity concluded with the screening of a kaleidoscope highlighting the Faculty of Humanities’ journey throughout the year, followed by the announcement and presentation of awards to outstanding lecturers and educational staff, entertainment, and a shared luncheon. Through this activity, the Faculty of Humanities at Udayana University hopes to continue developing as an excellent, adaptive, and competitive faculty at both national and international levels.
