Faculty of Humanities Udayana University Held FIB DigiTalk “Pangkalan Data Metaverse sebagai Tahapan Awal Teknologi Arsip Masa Depan Warisan Budaya Nusantara”

The Faculty of Humanities Udayana University, once again held FIB DigiTalk 2025 as a forum for scholarly discussion addressing current issues in culture and digital technology. The event was conducted online on Friday, 19 December 2025, and featured Kristiawan, S.S., M.A., a lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities, as the main speaker. This DigiTalk forms part of Faculty of Humanities Udayana University’s commitment to strengthening digital literacy and academic innovation within the higher education environment. The session was moderated by I Kadek Surya Jayadi, S.S., M.A. who guided the session and also discussion.

The theme “Pangkalan Data Metaverse sebagai Tahapan Awal Teknologi Arsip Masa Depan Warisan Budaya Nusantara” or “Metaverse Database as an Initial Stage of Future Archival Technology for the Cultural Heritage of the Indonesian Archipelago” DigiTalk 2025 discussed the potential use of metaverse technology in the management and preservation of cultural archives. The speaker explained that the development of digital technology–based databases is a strategic step to ensure the sustainability of Indonesia’s cultural heritage, keeping it relevant and easily accessible for future generations in the era of digital transformation.

The event received strong enthusiasm from participants, including lecturers, students, and members of the general public even it was held via Zoom Meeting platform. Through presentation sessions and interactive discussions, Faculty of Humanities DigiTalk 2025 is expected to broaden participants’ insights into the integration of digital technology in the humanities and to encourage the emergence of innovative ideas related to future technology–based cultural archiving at the Faculty of Humanities Udayana University.
