Faculty of Humanities Udayana University held Study Program Specification Workshop to Strengthen Accreditation and Academic Quality

Denpasar, October 27, 2025 — The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Udayana University, in his speech, expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of the participants and hoped that the results of this workshop could be implemented in all study programs. “Complete and well-documented study program specifications will be clear evidence of the faculty's commitment to quality education, research, and community service,” he said. Through this activity, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University reaffirmed its role as a leading faculty that continues to adapt to the demands of quality-based accreditation, academic transparency, and global competitiveness.

The Faculty of Humanities at Udayana University held a Study Program Specifications Workshop as part of its efforts to improve academic quality and strengthen accreditation documents. This event featured Kastam Syamsi from the Faculty of Language, Arts, and Culture at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) as the main speaker. This workshop served as an important forum for lecturers and curriculum development teams to understand the components of program specifications, including the preparation of accreditation support documents and reporting on the achievements of the university's tridharma. The purpose of this activity was to strengthen academic governance, quality transparency, and synchronization between academic documents and the performance achievements of lecturers and students.

In his presentation, Kastam Syamsi explained that study program specifications are the main foundation in the preparation of academic documents, which include data on permanent lecturers, research, community service, scientific publications, as well as lecturer recognition and achievements. “Each study program must have complete and integrated documents so that the quality of learning can be accounted for academically and administratively,” he said. He also emphasized the importance of tracer studies and research output evidence as indicators of the relevance of graduates to the needs of the world of work and society. This is in line with the direction of the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy, which demands flexibility and accountability in higher education.

Workshop participants gained an in-depth understanding of the documents that must be prepared by each study program, such as a list of permanent lecturers, EWMP, scientific publications, appropriate technology, research and community service outputs, and student achievements. In addition, participants were also trained in compiling curriculum documents in line with Permendiktisaintek Number 39 of 2025 concerning the Higher Education Quality Assurance System and international standards. This workshop serves as a strategic tool in strengthening the readiness of study programs to face national and international accreditation processes, as well as reaffirming Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University's commitment to maintain sustainable academic quality.
