Faculty of Humanities Udayana University held the Graduation Ceremony for the 171st and 172nd Prospective Graduates

The Faculty of Humanities at Udayana University held a graduation ceremony for the 171st and 172nd batch of graduates on Thursday, October 23, 2025, online via Zoom Meeting and attended by the Dean, Vice Deans, Study Program Coordinators, Unit Heads, and all prospective graduates from the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels. A total of 216 prospective graduates were released, with details as follows: 11 from the Linguistics Doctoral Program, 5 from the Cultural Studies Doctoral Program, 23 from the Linguistics Master's Program, 6 from the Cultural Studies Master's Program, 22 from the Bachelor of Indonesian Literature, 10 from the Bachelor of Balinese Literature, 92 from the Bachelor of English Literature, 14 from the Bachelor of Archaeology, 7 from the Bachelor of History, 18 from the Bachelor of Cultural Anthropology, and 8 from the Bachelor of Japanese Literature.

The event opened with a performance of the Saraswati Dance, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya and the Udayana Hymne, as well as a prayer. The Vice Dean I of Faculty of Humanities Udayana University, Dr. I Gede Oeinada, S.S., M.Hum., delivered an academic report. He presented details of the prospective graduates at each level. At the doctoral level, there were 16 graduates, with 7 receiving honors and 9 receiving high honors. At the master's level, there were 29 graduates, with 10 receiving cum laude or honors and 19 receiving high honors. At the Bachelor's level, there were 171 graduates, with 85 receiving cumlaude, 72 receiving very satisfactory, and 14 receiving satisfactory. At the end of the report, he expressed his gratitude to the Dean of Faculty of Humanities, University of Udayana, the Chair of the Senate and its members, the Head of Unit, and the entire graduation committee who had prepared the graduation ceremony for the prospective graduates with great responsibility. He also congratulated all prospective graduates and their companions and apologized for any shortcomings in the implementation of the graduation ceremony.


The top graduates in the 171st period are: Alzena Levia Hendy Ramadhani, S.S. with a GPA of 3.99 and a “With Honors” predicate from the English Literature Undergraduate Program, Ida Ayu Putu Citta Mandala Keniten, S.Sos., M.Si with a GPA of 3.96 and cumlaude predicate from the Master of Cultural Studies Program, Dr. Putu Titah Kawitri Resen, S.I.P., M.A. with a GPA of 3.89 and the title cumlaude predicate from the Doctor of Philosophy in Cultural Studies Program. The top graduates in the 172nd period were Celine Melinda Santosa, S.S. with a GPA of 3.99 and a predicate of cumlaude from the Bachelor of English Literature, Luh Putu Krissiana Permata Dewi, S.Pd., M.Hum. with a GPA of 4 and cumlaude from the Doctoral Program of Linguistics, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Parthama, S.S., M.Hum., with a GPA of 3.86.


The event then continued with the release of prospective graduates one by one. After that, one of the alumni representatives conveyed their impressions and messages, which in this period were represented by the Best Graduate of the 171st period, Alzena Levia Hendy Ramadhani, S.S. from the Bachelor of English Literature. She expressed her gratitude to the lecturers who had sincerely guided and imparted knowledge, to her parents and family for their prayers, moral and material support, and to her fellow students who had shared both joys and sorrows. She expressed her gratitude for being part of the Faculty of Humanities, which has equipped her with knowledge and shaped her character into a more devout and wise individual. She hopes that Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University will continue to produce outstanding graduates who are globally competitive. In closing, she stated that the outside world awaits our tangible contributions, urging everyone to remain humble, continue learning, and never stop innovating.


The Dean of Faculty of Humanities, University of Udayana, Prof. I Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., delivered a meaningful message to the prospective graduates. He emphasized the importance of hard work, perseverance, and patience in determining the direction and achieving the goals of life. According to him, success does not come easily, but will be realized through perseverance, fighting spirit, and self-confidence. The Dean also advised the graduates to continue pursuing their passions and dreams with enthusiasm. He congratulated the graduates on their success and also the parents who had accompanied their sons and daughters to achieve this milestone. At the end of his speech, the Dean expressed his gratitude to all those involved in organizing this graduation ceremony, while also apologizing for any shortcomings during the event.
