Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, Holds the 2025 FIB Outstanding Student Selection
On Friday, August 8, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University (FIB Unud) held the 2025 FIB Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres). The Pilmapres selection took place in the Priyono Room, Poerbatjaraka Building, FIB Unud. This selection activity aims to provide an opportunity for students to showcase their achievements during their studies at FIB Unud. Students who are later selected will represent the Faculty of Humanities in the Pilmapres at the university level. Attending the event, were the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Information, along with other invited guests.
The participants of the Pilmapres selection were the outstanding student representatives from each study program at the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University. The selection process was carried out by a number of judges. The judges included Dr. Sang Ayu Isnu Maharani, S.S., M.Hum., a lecturer from the English Literature Study Program; Jalu Norva, S.S., M.A., a lecturer from the Indonesian Literature Study Program; Putu Dyah Pradnya Paramitha, S.S., M.A., a lecturer from the History Study Program; Ria Hikmatul Hayati, M.Hum., a lecturer from the Cultural Anthropology Study Program; and Ngurah Indra Pradhana SS, M.Hum., a lecturer from the Japanese Literature Study Program.
The Pilmapres of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, began with remarks from the Vice Dean III, Dr. Ni Ketut Puji Astiti Laksmi, S.S., M.Si. She hopes that this activity can motivate students to achieve more. The activity also began with an introduction of the jury team by the Chair of the Pilmapres this time, Ngurah Indra Pradhana S.S., M.Hum. At the same time, he conveyed the procedure for selecting representatives of the Faculty Pilmapres with various requirements such as being active in their respective study programs, having active status in PDDIKTI, sending papers, portfolios, CVs, and transcripts.
The participants, representing each study program, were then tested through the delivery of papers in the form of presentations, followed by a question-and-answer session. In this Outstanding Student Selection, participants were given the opportunity to deliver presentations with the following assessments: General Achievement 50%, Creative Ideas 30%, and English language proficiency 20% of the assessment. Participants were given a time allocation of 35 minutes to present their papers.
The final agenda of the activity was the announcement of the winners of the 2025 FIB Pilmapres. After going through a fairly strict assessment, the jury team decided that the first place was won by I Komang Haris Putra Perkasa, from the Indonesian Literature Study Program. In the second place was Naina Qurrata A'yun from the Anthropology Study Program, and third place was won by Ni Made Elvina Damayanthi from the Balinese Literature Study Program. The Chair of the Pilmapres then closed the activity by expressing great hope that the winners of this pilmapres have a good commitment to represent FIB in the upcoming university-level Pilmapres.
