Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University Receives a Visit from SMAN 4 Pasuruan
On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University (FIB Unud) received a visit from SMA Negeri 4 Pasuruan. The visit was received at the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium, FIB Unud, attended by around 79 students and 6 teachers from SMAN 4 Pasuruan. The group was welcomed by the Head of the Media FIB Team, I Kadek Surya Jayadi, S.S., M.A., accompanied by the team from Media FIB. The visit began with a speech given by the Principal of SMAN 4 Pasuruan, Mr. Lutfi Rohman, S.Pd.
In his speech, he expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome given by the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University. He also conveyed the purpose of the visit, which is to realize the program at SMAN 4 Pasuruan, the Student Careers. He hoped that through this visit, the students could get motivated and gain knowledge about Udayana University, especially the Faculty of Humanities. This visit was the first visit of SMAN 4 Pasuruan to Udayana University, and he hoped that such kinds of visits will be continued on in the future.
After the remarks from the Principal, the students were given an introduction to the Faculty of Humanities presented by the Head of the Media FIB Team, I Kadek Surya Jayadi, S.S., M.A. He explained a brief history of the Faculty of Humanities as the first faculty in Udayana University. During this visit, he also explained what study programs are available at FIB Unud. He also explained various activities and job prospects for each study program at FIB, which were in line with the request from SMAN 4 Pasuruan related to student careers. Next, he also touched on various student activities and UKMs (Students’ organization) at both the faculty and university levels.
The event continued with a question and answer session joined by students actively and interactively. Some of the questions asked by students were mostly related to study programs and student activities. Closing the visit, one of the English teachers from SMAN 4 Pasuruan also expressed her hope that this campus study can be used as a general descriptioni of how college world is and become an encouragement to the students to continue their education to the higher education level. This series of visits continued with the handover of souvenir plaques from both parties and ended with a group photo session (AES).
