FIB Unud Students Participate in Monitoring and Evaluation of the 2025 MBKM Bina Desa (Village Development) in Padangsambian

Reaching the 13th week of the waste management program using maggots and teaching 5th grade elementary school students; group 23 MBKM Bina Desa, Padangsambian Village received monitoring and evaluation in the Meeting Room of the Padangsambian Village Office, West Denpasar, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. The activity was attended by Dr. I Nyoman Tri Ediwan, S.S., M.Hum., and Ni Ketut Desi Anggreani Sulistiawati as the monitor and evaluator; field supervisor, I Gusti Ngurah Mayun Susandhika; and the Secretary of Padangsambian Village, I Ketut Sulendra.


The opening of the event began with the remarks from the village secretary and the monitoring and evaluation team. Afterwards, it was continued with the 13 weeks report presentation of the MBKM Bina Desa activities presented by one of the students. The presentation was about the development of maggots, maggot socialization, and the teaching activities that had been carried out for 13 weeks. The activity was continued with an evaluation in the form of questions, critics, and suggestions from the monitoring and evaluation team regarding the Bina Desa activities. The monitoring and evaluation team also checked the development of the maggots cultivated at the Padangsambian Village Office, which were known growing big and almost ready to harvest.


The final activity was the documentation session for the monitoring and evaluation team, village secretary, field supervisor, and students. In the monitoring and evaluation process, both groups and village heads – represented by the village secretary – filled out a questionnaire in the form of questions about the program and the performance of the students in Padangsambian Village. In the group questionnaire, the questions were about how the programs being worked on, and the evaluation of the field supervisor. The group 23 of the MBKM Bina Desa in Padangsambian Village is expected to be able to complete the work program until the 16th week.


Furthermore, they also hope to be able to overcome every obstacle and disturbance faced ahead. One of the programs being worked on is a waste management program using maggots. The team hopes that this program can be sustainable and able to overcome the problem of organic waste in Padangsambian Village. The monitoring and evaluation activities took place from 11.00 to 13.45 Bali Time. The series of events consisted of: opening, presentation of activity reports, evaluation, checking the condition of maggots by the monitor and evaluator, and ending with a group photo (YWAC).
