FoH Unud Explores Collaboration with Tianjin Foreign Studies University, China

The Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University (FoH Unud) attended an online meeting initiated by the Faculty of Asian and African Languages, Tianjin Foreign Studies University (FAAL TFSU), China on Thursday, April 25 2024.


The meeting was attended by the Dean of FoH Unud, I Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., who was accompanied by the Coordinator of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, Dr. I Gusti Ayu Agung Mas Triadnyani, S.S., M.Hum., FoH Coordinator of Cooperation Unit, Novita Mulyana, S.S., M.Hum., and the PIC of Cooperation Affairs of the Indonesian Literature Study Program FoH Unud, Jalu Norva Illa Putra, S.S., M.A.


From the FAAL TFSU side, the meeting was attended by the Dean of FAAL, Prof. Duo Chenjie, Deputy Dean of FAAL, Dr. Zhu Libin, M.A., Head of the TFSU International Affairs Office, Zhang Zhanqi, and TFSU Indonesian Language Lecturer, Han Xu, M.A.


The Dean of FAAL TFSU, Prof. Duo Chenjie explained that the purpose of her invitation to FoH Unud was to explore the potential for collaboration between the faculty she leads and FoH Unud. She explained that TFSU currently focusing on having collaboration with various universities in Indonesia considering the very close relationship between the Republic of Indonesia and the People's Republic of China. She also explained that currently her faculty has collaborated with several universities in Indonesia such as UNESA and is actively sending students to these universities to carry out exchanges and study for one year at these universities. She hopes that his faculty could also conduct various collaboration activities with FoH Unud for various educational activities such as student and lecturer exchanges as well as research collaboration.


The Dean of FoH Unud, Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., welcomed the collaboration proposal offered by FAAL TFSU. Apart from educational and research activities, Aryawibawa, Ph.D., also mentioned that he is open to implementing community service at the international level. According to him, this community service activity can involve students and lecturers on both sides to make a real contribution to society.


At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to discuss the technical implementation of collaborative activities that could potentially be carried out at future meetings while preparing the required cooperation documents.
