Getting the Information About Campus Life and Balinese Culture, FIB Unud Receives a Visit from SMAN 21 Surabaya
On Friday, July 4, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University (FIB Unud) received a visit from SMAN 21 Surabaya. The visit was received at the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium, IB Mantra Building, 4th Floor, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University. This visit was attended by grade XI students accompanied by teachers with the total around 130+ participants. The group was warmly welcomed and received by I Kadek Surya Jayadi, S.S., M.A. as the Head of the Media Team of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, accompanied by members of the FIB Unud Media Team.
The visit began with a speech from Widagdo, S.Pd, Vice Principal for Student Affairs of SMAN 21 Surabaya. In his speech, he thanked FIB Unud for the opportunity given. He also conveyed the purpose of this visit as an implementation of SMAN 21 Surabaya's work program like this visit to various campuses. In this visit, SMAN 21 Surabaya chose Udayana University to explore further information about one of the best universities in Bali, especially in the Faculty of Humanities, both from student life, study programs offered, and cultures in Bali.
The visit was continued with a general introduction of FIB Unud by I Kadek Surya Jayadi, S.S., M.A. as the head of the FIB Media Team. He introduced the history and uniqueness of FIB Unud as the first faculty at Udayana University which at the time of its establishment was a branch of Airlangga University. He also explained the facilities owned and the eight (8) undergraduate study programs under the faculty of Humanities Udayana University. Along with those explanation, he explained as well as the diverse job prospects of the FIB Unud study programs. In addition, he also explained the various student organizations, such as BPM FIB, SMFIB, associations of eight (8) undergraduate study programs, as well as academic and non-academic UKM.
The presentation of material on FIB Unud was continued with a question and answer session followed by class XI students interactively. Various interesting questions were raised by the students, including what is the role of FIB Unud in improving foreign language skills, and what forms or efforts have been made as a form of preserving and developing culture, both national and locally in Bali. Other questions raised were about the facilities and advantages offered by FIB Unud. The visit ended with the handover of souvenirs from SMAN 21 Surabaya to FIB Unud. It is hoped that this visit can provide insight and motivate students to study harder and achieve their desired goals.
