HMPSSI Faculty of Humanities Held Opening Ceremony and Participant Meeting for INDEED 2026

HMPSSI , the Bachelor of English Literature students' association of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University held the opening ceremony and participant meeting for the Inauguration Day of the English Department 2026 on January 29, 2026, at the Nusantara Room, Udayana University. The event was attended by Dr. Ni Ketut Puji Astiti, S.S., M.Si as Deputy Dean 3 of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Parthama, S.S., M. Hum. as Head of the English Literature Study Program, Fina Adelia Rochman as Chair of the English Literature Study Program Student Association, Putu Wahyu Widiatmika, S.S., M. Hum. and Gek Wulan Novi Utami, S.S., M.Hum. as HMPSSI Advisors. Officials from the Student Affairs Institute within the Faculty of Humanities were also present at this event. The event began with a speech from the Chair of the INDEED Committee, Kadek Ayu Diah Kalpika Aristyanti Putri, who expressed her hope that this event would welcome new students of the English Literature Study Program and strengthen the relationship and solidarity among English Literature students within the Faculty of Cultural Sciences. The event continued with remarks from the Head of the English Literature Study Program, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Parthama, S.S., M. Hum., and Vice Dean 3, Dr. Ni Ketut Puji Astiti, S.S., M. Si.


The PETA (Participant Meeting) activity continued with a presentation from the committee discussing what INDEED is and INDEED activities such as Cleaning, Procurement, and Teaching. This year's INDEED theme is INDEECISION: “Begin Your Journey of Discovery, Embrace The Shine.” Participants were given assignments in the form of individual, group, and cohort tasks, which will later be used to assess their performance in INDEED. Question and answer session began after the presentation was over, and participants were given the opportunity to ask questions if there was anything they did not understand.


The peak of the INDEED 2026 event will take place over two days on February 22-23, 2026, at Wisma Nangun Kerthi Bedugul, Buleleng Regency, Bali. Hoping that this event will serve as a platform for Bachelor of English Literature’s students to grow and develop together while strengthening solidarity.
