Strengthening Professional Competence: Faculty of Humanities’ Students Participate in the Magang Kampus Berdampak Program at Dinas Kebudayaan Denpasar

The Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University officially sent off 15 students from various study programs within the faculty to implement the Independent Magang Kampus Berdampak program at the Dinas Kebudayaan Denpasar on Thursday (6/8). This activity marks the initial step in the implementation of the program, which aims to provide students with direct learning experiences through involvement in partner institutions. The send-off ceremony was attended by the Supervising Lecturer from Faculty of Humanities Udayana University and the officials of the Dinas Kebudayaan Denpasar as the host institution for the students.

The series of send-off activities began with welcoming remarks delivered by the representatives of the Dinas Kebudayaan Denpasar. On this occasion, the institution expressed its appreciation for the collaboration established with the Faculty of Humanities Udayana University through the implementation of the program. The presence of the students is expected to make a tangible contribution to supporting various programs for the preservation, development, and advancement of culture within the Denpasar City area. Furthermore, the office representatives also advised the students to constantly be adaptive to their new work environment, uphold professional ethics, and complete every assignment with full responsibility.

In the following session, remarks and directives were also given by I Gusti Ngurah Mayun Susandhika, S.S., M.Hum., as the Supervising Lecturer for the program. He explained that the program is a manifestation of the implementation of educational policies that open opportunities for students to absorb real-world experience in the professional sphere. Through this assignment, students are encouraged to continuously develop their academic competencies and professional skills, broaden their horizons, and directly apply the knowledge gained from their university studies in the workplace.

The students in this Independent program come from various study programs at the Faculty of Humanities. This diversity of academic backgrounds is expected to foster solid multidisciplinary collaboration in supporting the work programs of the Dinas Kebudayaan Denpasar. This cross-disciplinary experience will not only improve technical skills but also serve as a crucial platform to hone communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills as a foundation for the students' future careers.

In conclusion, this is a tangible evidence of the Faculty of Humanities' commitment to organizing a learning system that is adaptive, collaborative, and relevant to the demands of the professional world. It is hoped that the synergy between the academic atmosphere and government institutions will continue to be established sustainably, thereby providing mutual benefits while making a concrete contribution to cultural preservation efforts in Denpasar City.
