Pursuing 'Excellent' Accreditation, Bachelor of Japanese Literature Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University Held APS 2.0 Document Finalization Workshop

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the Bachelor of Japanese Literature, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University held a Hybrid Workshop on the Finalization of the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) and Self-Evaluation Report (LED) Documents for APS 2.0. Taking place in the Dr. Ir. Soekarno Meeting Room, 4th Floor of the Poerbatjaraka Building, FIB Unud, the event was attended by the decanate ranks, the Head of the Research and Community Service Unit (UP2M) of FIB Unud, the Head of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M) of FIB Unud, as well as lecturers from the Japanese Literature and English Literature Study Programs.

Prof. I Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University mentioned that this workshop is a strategic step in preparing for the reaccreditation of the Bachelor of Japanese Literature, which will expire this September. In order to keep on holding the “Excellent” accreditation status, updating the evaluation documents is absolutely necessary to align with the new Study Program Accreditation (APS) instruments.

The workshop featured Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rohmadi, S.S., M.Hum., an assessor and expert from Universitas Sebelas Maret. He was accompanied by Dr. Silvia Damayanti, S.S., M.Hum., the Coordinator of the Japanese Literature Study Program who acted as the moderator of the workshop session. In his guidance, Prof. Rohmadi emphasized that the latest accreditation system (APS 2.0) relies heavily on online data verification, such as: data retrieval from PDDIKTI and SINTA. Since the assessor's evaluation system is now more rigid and focuses solely on "fulfilled" or "unfulfilled" options, the completeness of the Self-Evaluation Report is highly crucial. He asserted that the drafting team must not merely write normative narratives but is obligated to provide direct answers supported by empirical data and evidence links. Furthermore, these links must be placed specifically within the section of the indicator being discussed to make it easier for the assessors to verify the truth of the arguments.

To compile robust documents and achieve the "Excellent" target, Prof. Rohmadi shared five tactical steps. First, ensure that all sub-item indicators in the BAN-PT assessment matrix are listed completely. Second, emphasize these points within the manuscript. Third, answer each indicator straightforwardly in the first sentence or paragraph before elaborating on the explanation. Fourth, include evidence links for every elaborated answer. Fifth, specifically to meet the excellence requirements, the study program must confidently state that they possess the best and most comprehensive quality, rather than merely using flowery language stating "already adequate."

At the end, he reminded the audience of the urgency of document autonomy because, under this new system, not all study programs will have the opportunity for an on-site visitation or Field Assessment. Accreditation decisions could be made purely based on the documents read by the assessors, leaving no room for verbal confirmation. Therefore, considering the Bachelor of Japanese Literature accreditation period will end in September, these complete documents must be uploaded immediately before the deadline. Even if there are later constraints from the ministry's system that cause assessment schedules to be delayed, documents submitted on time will guarantee an automatic extension of the accreditation's active period.

The event concluded with the handover of a certificate to Prof. Rohmadi. He hoped that the document finalization process would be carried out meticulously by reviewing and ensuring completeness item by item according to the assessment matrix. He also placed high hopes on the study program having the courage to claim its best achievements in writing as a prerequisite for achieving excellent accreditation. Furthermore, he hoped every supporting evidence link is set to be publicly accessible. Finally, he strongly hoped that all documents and data are presented as completely and detailed as possible from the beginning, as the new accreditation system does not guarantee an on-site visitation process.
