Solemn and Grateful: Faculty of Humanities Udayana University Held Saraswati Day Ceremony

On Saturday, April 4, 2026, the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University held a ceremony in observance of Saraswati Day. It was conducted at the Padmasana of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, Sanglah Campus, the ceremony was attended by the academicians of the faculty. The ceremony is a manifestation of the preservation of Hindu spiritual and cultural values on campus.


The series of ceremonies commenced with several traditional dance performances, such as the Rejang Taman Sari dance performed by the lecturers of Faculty of Humanities Udayana University, the Rejang Dewa dance performed by the female students of Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, the Baris Gede dance, and the Wayang Lemah performance. Then, the ceremonies continued with the Mejaya-jaya procession, participated in by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, all coordinators of the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs, as well as the unit Coordinators of Faculty of Humanities. The peak of this event was the Puja Trisandhya session led by Putu Gede Suarya Natha, S.S., M.Hum., and the Kramaning Sembah led by Ida Pedanda, which was followed solemnly by the entire attending academician of Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University.


Hoping that Saraswati Day ceremonies will strengthen the bonds of fellowship among the academicians of Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University and serve as a medium to express gratitude for the gift of knowledge bestowed by Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge in Hinduism.
