Synergy of Education and Community: The Kampus Berdampak Bina Desa Team of Udayana University Officially Closes Program in Senganan Kanginan

The Senganan Kanginan Bina Desa Team of Kampus Berdampak program Udayana University held the closing agenda for the Senganan Kanginan Bina Desa program on Sunday, JUly 5, 2026. Taking place at the Wantilan of Senganan Village, this event marked the culmination of the Bina Desa program, which had been running from March to June. The agenda was attended by the Field Supervisor (DPL), the Head of Senganan Kanginan Traditional Village (Jro Bendesa Adat), the Head of the Senganan Kanginan Traditional Neighborhood (Kepala Wilayah Banjar Adat), the Secretary of Senganan Village, the Chairman of Presiki Darma Sentana Senganan Kanginan, the Chairman of Sekaa Truna Giri Kusuma, representatives of SDN 4 Senganan, members of Presiki Darma Sentana, and the resource persons for the Senganan Kanginan in Frame (SIF) program.

The Head of the Senganan Kanginan Bina Desa Team, Ni Putu Cintya Wartini Putri, representing her fellow students, expressed her gratitude for the smooth execution of the program. She also expressed high hopes that all the initiated activities would yield a sustainable, positive impact on the village.

The Field Supervisor (DPL), Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Parthama, S.S., M.Hum., emphasized the importance of integrating the three centers of education (tri sentra pendidikan). He elaborated that true education is not merely limited to the formal path in schools or the informal path at home, but also encompasses the non-formal path where students dive directly into the field to learn while simultaneously empowering the rural community.

Representing the village administration, the Secretary of Senganan Village, I Wayan Supartika, commended the students' high level of dedication and contribution during their community service period. The executed programs were deemed successful in exploring the region's potential and providing tangible benefits that could be directly felt by the residents.

Officially closing the entire series of events, the Jro Bendesa Adat of Senganan Kanginan, I Nyoman Nasta, S.Ag., M.Pd.H., imparted a noble philosophy regarding the role of the environment as a true teacher in life. After approximately two months of service, he bid his farewells and prayed for the students' success as they now return to continue their studies at their respective universities.

Following the official closing and a group photo session, the event proceeded with the presentation of appreciation tokens and procured goods to various supporting parties. Tokens of appreciation in the form of plaques, certificates, and bouquets were presented to the partners, namely the Secretary of Senganan Village, the Jro Bendesa Adat of Senganan Kanginan, and Presiki Darma Sentana. Appreciation in the form of certificates and bouquets was also given to the Bina Desa facilitators, which included the Head of the Senganan Kanginan Traditional Neighborhood, representatives of SDN 4 Senganan, and the SIF resource persons: I Nyoman Nasta, S.Ag., M.Pd.H., I Nyoman Agung Wijaya, and I Wayan Suarta. On the same occasion, a symbolic handover of procured items, including cleaning supplies, prayer equipment, and English learning books, was carried out to the Secretary of Senganan Village, the Jro Bendesa Adat, and representatives of SDN 4 Senganan.

After the handover procession, the agenda shifted to a ceremonial session initiated by the screening of the Senganan Kanginan Traditional Village profile video. This video highlighted the village's brief history and summarized various local potentials; ranging from cultural aspects through the Nyanjan tradition and social dynamics within the Presiki Darma Sentana organization to the residents' economic drivers through layer poultry farming. The festivity was then followed by the performance of three traditional dances by Presiki Darma Sentana, namely the Bungan Sandat Dance, the Bebek Putih Jambul Dance, and the Janger Dance.

As a form of appreciation and nostalgia, the event continued with the screening of an after-movie video summarizing the recap and moments of togetherness of the students during their service. This broadcast included the execution of the E-Seng (English for Senganan Kanginan) program, the ngayah (voluntary work) activities with Presiki Darma Sentana, and the execution of SIF. The entire series of closing events that day was ultimately concluded with the Tangan Pelangi (Rainbow Hands) activity. In this warm session, all attendees—including village officials and members of Presiki Darma Sentana—jointly stamped their hands using colorful paint on a banner. This symbolic action serves as a visual record and an eternal reminder of the close synergy and togetherness forged between the students and the community of Senganan Kanginan Traditional Village.
