The Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University held the 67th Anniversary Celebration and the 44th Anniversary of Family Association

The Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University held the peak celebration of its 67th anniversary and the 44th anniversary Family Association on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. This peak celebration was held after a series of academic and non-academic activities throughout September 2025. This event served as an important moment for the entire academic community to strengthen their bonds and reinforce their commitment to developing Unud humanities to become one of the leading faculties at Udayana University.


The peak of the 67th anniversary of the Faculty of Humanities and the 44th anniversary of the Faculty of Humanities Family Association began with a flag ceremony on the east and west grounds of the Faculty of Humanities campus at Udayana University in Nias campus, followed by entertainments and award events. All study programs participated in the festivities, ranging from traditional and modern dance performances, music, poetry, to stand-up comedy. The Bachelor of Balinese Literature presented bondres art, the Bachelor of Indonesian Literature featured poetry readings, the Bachelor of English Literature showcased modern dance, the Bachelor of Japanese Literature performed Yasakoi dance, the Bachelor of Anthropology presented creative dance, and student groups’ musical performances.


The Dean of Faculty of Humanities, Prof. I Nyoman Arya Wibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., in his speech explained the theme of this year's celebration, namely “Innovative Work, Promoting Culture”. This theme was chosen as a manifestation of the Faculty of Humanities' commitment to continue innovating, strengthening kinship, and promoting cultural values as a shared identity. “The challenges for the next two years are immense, but with unity and the support of the university, we can create an academic ecosystem that is excellent and has integrity,” said the Dean. Through this theme, the Faculty of Humanities at Udayana University affirms its role as a center for the development of humanities and the preservation of local culture in the era of globalization.


The Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., in his speech congratulated Faculty of Humanities Udayana University on its anniversary. He expressed his hope that the Faculty of Humanities would continue to develop and remain a faculty that becomes a major contributor to the advancement of science, arts, and culture. “The university will always support the Faculty of Humanities to continue innovating and preserving culture, because our strength lies in unity in diversity,” said Prof. Sudarsana. The Rector also emphasized that the Faculty of Humanities at Udayana University has a strategic role in realizing the university's vision of becoming a globally competitive campus based on culture.

In addition, there were awards given to the outstanding students, lecturers who just finished their Doctoral degree, also appreciation for retired staff and lecturers. These activities became a reward for their dedication and achievements, academic and non-academic fields. The event was lively, ending with performances by student bands, dance performances, and DJ who closed the celebration with great excitement. This moment also reflected the creative and collaborative enthusiasm of the Faculty of Humanities at Universitas Udayana in developing student potencies while strengthening the campus's cultural character.


Hopefully, the celebration will realize the vision of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University as an excellent, independent, and cultured faculty remain to become a major institution for the development of science and culture in Bali and Indonesia. Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University remains committed to improve the quality of higher education through innovation and cross-institutional collaboration, both at the national and international levels.
