The Faculty of Humanities University of Udayana held the 173rd graduation ceremony
The Faculty of Humanities Udayana University, held a graduation ceremony for the 173rd period graduates on Thursday, December 18, 2025, online via the Zoom Meeting application. The ceremony was attended by the Dean, Deputy Deans, Program Coordinators from the undergraduate, master's, and Doctoral programs, heads of units including Coordinators from the Unit of Research and Community Service, Unit of Quality Assurance, Unit of Information and Cooperation , Indonesian Language Center (BIPA), Indonesian Language and Culture Center (BIPAS), and Faculty of Business Center, as well as graduating students from the undergraduate studies, Magister and Doctoral programs.
The event opened with a performance of the Saraswati Dance, followed by the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, the Udayana Hymn, and a prayer. Deputy Dean I for Academic Affairs, Dr. I Gede Oeinada, S.S., M.Hum., reported that at the graduation ceremony for this period, a total of 36 prospective graduates were released, consisting of 22 female graduates and 14 male graduates, including 5 from the Japanese Literature study program, 4 from Cultural Anthropology, 1 from History, 3 from Archaeology, 14 from the Bachelor of English Literature, 2 from Bachelor of Indonesian Literature, 3 from Master of Cultural Studies, 3 from Master of Linguistics, and 1 from Doctor of Linguistics. Furthermore, he explained that 1 graduate of the Doctoral program in Linguistics achieved a grade of Very Satisfactory, 6 graduates of the Master's program achieved a grade of Very Satisfactory, 26 graduates of the Bachelor's program achieved a grade of Very Satisfactory, and 3 graduates of the Bachelor's program achieved a grade of Satisfactory. The Vice Dean II for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ni Ketut Ratna Erawati, M.Hum. presented the best graduates from each program level. The best graduate from the undergraduate program was Kadek Icha Sesilia, S.S., the best graduate from the master's program was Putu Eka Febyanti, S.Sos., M.Si., and the best graduate from the Doctoral program was Dr. Lourenço Marques da Silva, S.Pd., M.Ling.
The representative of the best graduates, Kadek Icha Sesilia, S.S., expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the lecturers for all their roles and dedication, as well as to the parents for their prayers and trust that they have always given to her and the other prospective graduates. During her studies, she not only focused on academic achievement but also learned to instill a sense of responsibility in the students. She also expressed her gratitude for all the experiences and valuable time she had spent during her education at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University.
The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. I Nyoman Aryawibawa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., closed the series of events with his speech. He expressed his highest appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the best graduates, all prospective graduates, and the full support of their parents. Furthermore, he advised the graduates to start taking firm steps in determining their future direction and to consistently pursue their dreams in line with their interests and talents.
