Taking place at the Widya Sabha Mandala Auditorium, 3rd Floor of the Ida Bagus Mantra Building, FIB Unud, and conducted in a hybrid format, the closing of this annual event by HMPSSI FIB Unud was attended by Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Parthama, S.S., M.Hum. as the Coordinator of the English Literature Study Program, Alfina Adelia Rochman as the Chairwoman of HMPSSI FIB Unud, leaders of FIB Unud student organizations, and the participants.

In her report, Chloe Angelina Parengkuan, the Chairperson of the Committee, explained that this year marked the first time CCED was held at the national level. This success was evidenced by the implementation of charity activities at the Salam Orphanage, as well as the organization of a university-level speech competition and a high school/vocational school-level debate competition held online, attended by participants from various provinces across Indonesia.

The climax of the closing ceremony was also highlighted by the announcement of the winners from both competition branches. In the Debate Competition, the first place was secured by the team "OYSTERS AJI stoned 🗿🗿," consisting of Ainsly Axelia Luvena, Ivanka Tjung, and Jimmy Lim Kai Long. The 1st Runner Up position was occupied by the team "WE HAD NOTHING TO DO THIS WEEK" with members Irawan Mulia Hakim, William Nugroho Setiyo, and Zahra Aurelia Zainal, followed by the team "DETIK DETIK SELEKSI KAB" consisting of Shafira Valeri, Cecilia Amalina, and Zhafira Luna Adhnia as the 2nd Runner Up.

Meanwhile, the Speech Competition crowned Fathandra Mahesa Suwardi from Universitas Gadjah Mada as the first-place winner. The second place was successfully achieved by Made Pramitha Dwi Ardiantini from Udayana University, while the third place was secured by Rakryan Wirabrama Satya Wisnu Putra from Universitas Padjadjaran.

Throughout the first day of the Debate Competition held on May 16, participants were tested through various contemporary, cross-disciplinary motions. In the preliminary rounds, the debate commenced with the moral dilemma regarding the prioritization of human lives in autonomous vehicles (Round 1), followed by a philosophical discourse on the narrative of love as a form of adaptability (Round 2). The participants' economic analytical sharpness was then challenged in Round 3, which highlighted the polemic of normalizing the "growth over profit" business model in the modern startup industry.

Entering the elimination rounds on May 17, 2026 the competition focused on social phenomena and cultural studies. In the Semifinal round, participants were challenged to critique the glorification of the "soft life" lifestyle amidst the productivity demands placed on today's youth. The peak of the competition in the Grand Final was then closed with a motion highly aligned with literary academic discourse, namely the opposition to the mainstream literature and media's tendency to label characters with radical visions of justice as villains. This series of motions brilliantly succeeded in igniting the participants' critical reasoning in responding to the complexities of global issues.

Meanwhile, the competition stages for the Speech Competition began with a work submission deadline on May 17, 2026 followed by a video submission period from May 18 to 19, 2026. In this speech category, participants were required to formulate their critical ideas through three main sub-themes aligned with the grand theme of the event: "Digitalizing Cultural Heritage: Youth's Role in Preserving and Promoting Culture in the Modern Era", "Preserving Culture through Digital Innovation", and "Cultural Pride in the Age of Social Media". The selection of these three sub-themes was specifically aimed at exploring the youth's perspectives on utilizing digital innovation and social media as primary instruments for preserving cultural identity.

As a retrospective, the festivity of this awarding ceremony also served as a sweet conclusion to the entire series of the CCED 2026 competition, which was previously officially opened on Saturday, May 16, 2026, by the Vice Dean III of )Faculty of Humanities Udayana University, Dr. Ni Ketut Puji Astiti Laksmi, S.S., M.Si.
