Concluding a Successful One-Month Run, SMFIB Udayana University Officially Concludes the BERFIJAR 2026 Community Service Program
The Bersama FIB Mengajar (BERFIJAR) 2026 community service program, organized by the Student Senate of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University (SMFIB Unud), was officially closed on Saturday, October 24, 2026. After dedicating a full month to various cross-study program teaching innovations, the closing day, which took place at SDN 1 Negari, Klungkung, was celebrated with immense joy through a celebration of talent and cultural preservation.
The series of closing events began with the preservation of traditional games, which successfully brought laughter and a sense of togetherness. The students and student volunteers mingled in playing coconut shell clogs (bakiak kelapa), rubber band jump rope, and bamboo stilts (egrang bambu). Amidst the excitement, high enthusiasm was also seen from the students who were busy preparing backstage—starting from makeup and dressing to dress rehearsals—to welcome the highlight of the art performance.
The art performance stage became a proving ground for the soaring self-confidence and creativity of SDN 1 Negari students. The third-grade students successfully captivated the audience through a cross-cultural collaboration, namely the Macarena Dance by the female students and the Kecak Dance performance by the male students. Not to be outdone, representatives of the fourth and fifth-grade students also enlivened the stage by showing off their vocal skills, performing Fireflies, Laskar Pelangi, and the iconic song Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis, which was then perfected by the gracefulness of the Puspanjali Dance. This series of stunning performances served as tangible proof of the BERFIJAR program's success in training the children's courage to perform in public.
The festivity of the art performance then culminated in a ceremonial closing session filled with expressions of appreciation from various parties. This series of the BERFIJAR 2026 program was officially closed by the First Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, Dr. I Gede Oeinada, S.S., M.Hum. As a concrete manifestation of sustainable social awareness, the committee concluded the event by handing over various prizes, gifts, and donations to support educational needs, as well as an award plaque as a symbol of gratitude for the extraordinary synergy from SDN 1 Negari.
