The Closing Ceremonial of Synergizing to Foster Environmental Awareness, Impactful Campus Bina Desa Pedungan

Denpasar, June 25, 2026 – The 2026 Udayana University Impactful Campus Bina Desa Pedungan Team held the closing ceremony for Bina Desa Pedungan 2026. This agenda marked the ending of the entire Bina Desa Pedungan program, which had been operating since April. It was conducted in the Meeting Room of the Pedungan Village Head's Office, the event was attended by the Head of Pedungan Village, a representative of the Pedungan Customary Village Head, neighborhood heads throughout the Pedungan Administrative and Customary Village, and representatives of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group from the local area.

Opening the event, I Gusti Agung Ngurah Gorda, as the village coordinator, expressed his gratitude to all village officials and the Pedungan community for their support during the approximately four months of the Bina Desa program implementation. He apologized for any shortcomings the students might have exhibited during their service and hoped that the executed work programs would provide tangible benefits to the residents. Echoing this sentiment, the representative of the Pedungan Customary Village Head also expressed appreciation for the education and training provided by the students. He hoped that these positive activities would motivate the local community to continue developing and to apply the knowledge more effectively.

Meanwhile, I Gusti Ngurah Mayun Susandhika, S.S., M.Hum., as the Field Supervisor (DPL), expressed his deepest appreciation to the Pedungan Village administration for giving the students the opportunity to serve and practice their academic knowledge directly within the community. Responding to this, the Head of Pedungan Village thanked the university and the students for the success of the program, which ran smoothly across all customary and administrative hamlets (banjar). He also apologized if there were any shortcomings on the village administration's part in facilitating the students during the activities and hoped that the benefits of this program would be sustained by the Pedungan community.

The event then proceeded with a handover session of mementos and program outputs from the Bina Desa Pedungan Team to the local stakeholders. Specifically, the presentation of plaques, certificates, and the "Pedungan Tripedia" magazine was given exclusively to the Head of Pedungan Village and the customary village head. Furthermore, the team handed over cleaning equipment and eco-enzyme products to all neighborhood heads throughout the Pedungan Administrative and Customary Village. Meanwhile, the attending PKK representatives also received the eco-enzyme products. The entire closing ceremony concluded warmly with a group photo session.

The implementation of the Impactful Campus Bina Desa Pedungan is expected to be a solid initial step in improving the standard of environmental cleanliness in the Pedungan area. Moving forward, the collaboration forged between the students and the village officials is expected to foster a culture of environmental care deeply rooted in the community, ensuring that the cleanliness and sustainability of the Pedungan Administrative and Customary Village can be continuously maintained.
